In 2003 Kaka joined AC Milan for a very nice amount of money. He won the Ballon d’OR which is a very prestigious award. He also won the FIFA Player of the Year award in 2007. He joined Real Madrid for a record breaking amount of money. However, he states that it was the challenge of playing for such a remarkable team that brought him to Real Madrid and not the money.

The fact that Kaka donates so much money through humanitarian funds is part of verifying that fact. He has become the youngest Ambassador or help for feeding the hungry. He has donated millions of dollars to this and other causes as well as offering his time and energy to get others to do the same. In early March 2011 Kaka suffered from a severe knee injury. It is estimated that it this will keep the Real Madrid player out for a period of 2 weeks. However, there are still rumors out there that he may have to eventually have surgery on the knee. If that is the case though they hope they can do it in the off season. He has already undergone one knee surgery before.

There have been some rumors that he is thinking of going back to AC Milan. If that is the case though he has to be ready for a substantial pay cut.  Kaka continues to state that the money isn’t why he remains with Real Madrid. He states he loves the team, the coaching, and the players. He has great pride in being part of such an amazing organization. His overall physical well being will determine what he is able to do for the remainder of the 2010 to 2011 season.
