Alvaro Arbeloa

Alvaro Arbeloa Coca goes by only the first two names for his place on the Real Madrid football team. He was born January 17, 1983. He also is part of the Spanish National Team. His favorite position to play is right back but you will find him playing many roles out there on the field. He has been a central defender and a right back as well. In fact, most of the games that he has started in feature him as a right back.

The versatility of Alvaro Arbeloa means that he is able to be a vital asset to the teams that he plays for. He can fill in and move around to where they need him the most. That can be powerful when you have a challenging rival or one of the main players in another position suffers from an injury.

That versatility also keeps the other team on their toes. It makes it tough for them to gauge what Alvaro Arbeloa is going to do or where he will be played for any given game. It makes it almost impossible for him to be effectively guarded. That is part of why this player is able to score so many goals.

The was due to Los Blancos not having as much experience in that position as the team needed him to. Alvaro Arbeloa had the experience and was able to really maximize this opportunity on the team.

In February of 2010 Alvaro Arbeloa he made his first goal in a game for the senior Real Madrid team. He continues to play for the Spain National Team as well. They don’t see this team giving up someone that has the abilities that he does. He also seems content with the connection he has made on the team. He enjoys the coaching that was introduced in 2010 – Jose Mourinho – and the challenge of playing with so many talented individuals.

There are those that worry about his career being cut short by injuries though. So far Alvaro Arbeloa has been able to avoid anything serious. He hasn’t sat out games due to injuries but has missed some practice sessions. The fact that he is so mobile means that if he does take some tough hits it could be difficult for him to remain healthy. When asked about that scenario though Alvaro Arbeloa says he just goes out there and plays the game he loves and doesn’t worry about anything else.
